Sunday 3rd March - walk *** – Around Levington – light cloud then amazing sunset.

Mag and I have had colds so I have missed two days windsurfing at the start of March but it has been wet and chilly and the month is still young! We did manage a short walk yesterday along the prom just as it started to rain so not great, then today although no sunshine the wind was light so we decided to pack a picnic and drive to Levington for a walk and picnic but not before we made a huge shepards pie and I actually did my exercises:) Arrived at Levington around midday and spotted our first lambs of the year and stopped to take their photo:) We actually parked at Levinngton Creek, donned our wellies and set off. The tide was low but there was not many birds in the mud, just a few ducks. The path leading to the wooden walkway was very muddy, our wellies are worth their weight in gold! No sign of the deer at this point as we headed up the hill to the church, the seat we wanted was taken so we continued up to the village sign to take pics of the daffs and cannon. The pub was was full with people out for lunch and our bench was free so we stopped for lunch and the deer made an appearance:) Then back down to the creek and van to head for home including a detour around Levington Marina, our parking spot is currently covered inn huge chains and pontoons so I hope they are cleared before the wind arrives later in the week! Home for a cuppa, cake and a doze before we were treated to ann amazing sunset, so I walked to the end of the road to get some pics:)
